The alien dream

By janie

Lillian finds herself at her grandmother’s house. She has no idea how she has arrived here.  She walks through the house, she sees people she knows; her dad, some of his friends, and her lover. Lillian goes to the front yard with two girls who happen to be in her grandmother’s house.

It begins getting dark outside, twilight has set in for just a moment, and then darkness presents itself.  All of a sudden she is under a spot light. She looks up and sees a bright light shining down directly over her head. As if the object was afraid she spotted it, it shoots off, like a shooting star to her left over the mountains.  She asks the girls she is with what it was, their response is a helicopter.  Seconds later she hears a bunch of helicopters in the sky, she looks up trying to catch a glimpse of them but all that appears are black slinky shadows that are weaving in between the star filled sky. They have no intentions of following the bright light that was above her head, instead they go straight north.

The girls run to the house, Lillian is desperately trying to lock the screen door to her grandmother’s house, but it keeps unlocking itself. She yells for someone to help her. Her grandmother brings her a silver CD in which they wedge in the door to lock it. Lillian turns in a dead run to the back door to lock it. As she begins to struggle to keep the door shut, whatever is out there does not want her to shut the door and it begins a game of tug-a-war with the door. . Again Lillian screams for help. Her grandmother comes running into the room and helps her get the door shut and locked.

Everyone in the house goes to the living room where they are sitting, waiting. As Lillian walks over to the front door to make sure it is locked, but on her way she looks down the hallway and sees what appears to be a man laying down with one leg bent and the other straight. She cannot see the rest of his body, only his legs. She questions if she is the only one who can see this man, or if it is a ghost she is seeing. As she asks if anyone can see the man lying in the hallway, she turns her head to the right and sees a glimpse of a ghost. Someone in the room agrees that the man in the hallway is not a ghost; they can in fact see him as well.

Just then her grandmother goes running for the hallway and she follows behind. The man slowly gets up, he is smiling at them. He is asked how he got inside the house which is locked up. He just continues starring at them with his bright blue eyes and his wide white smile. They pick up shovels and racks that have appeared in the hallway and begin poking the man in the stomach trying to make him leave. He continues to laugh at them as they poke him with the objects. Lillian runs and finds her purple hair brush and throws it at him. It goes through the wall and lands outside on the side walk, the man turns and walks out the door for the hair brush.  Lillian notices the light right above the door now, she begins struggling again to shut the door. The man has now picked up the hair brush and is walking back towards the door smiling. She screams and pulls the door shut and locks it.

You wake up!
